Shinshu Wagyu

Our Wagyu.

In simple terms, we love our cattle at Shinshu Wagyu. As breeders, it is impossible to not appreciate the quality of our herd’s ancestry, bloodlines and pedigree. When dealing with such beautifully conformed fullblood wagyu, we allow ourselves to delight in the pride that we all feel at Shinshu Wagyu for these impeccably bred animals.

Shinshu Wagyu cattle are all DNA tested to provide for full transparency and enhanced traceability. Our entire herd are registered with the Australian Wagyu Association and we encourage viewing of Shinshu Wagyu sires and dams and their progeny to appreciate their lineage and pedigree background.

Buyers have expressed strong confidence in the appearance and excellent confirmation of our wagyu. The immediate and positive impression that interested parties have when inspecting our cattle is almost palpable and has resulted in exceptional sales results for Shinshu Wagyu progeny.

We invite you to make contact through our contact page to discuss our cattle and make arrangements to visit us and inspect our fullblood wagyu.

The beginning of elusive breeding.

Located on the Western Downs in Queensland, Shinshu Wagyu is a privately-owned business that is dedicated to breeding highly valued fullblood wagyu through genetic improvement systems.

The alluring “Leichhardt’s Crossing” property in Chinchilla is where Shinshu Wagyu is based and where our genetically superior fullblood wagyu are bred along classic pedigree lines and lineage.  The results are cattle that exhibit exceptional confirmation who stamp their progeny with characteristics of versatility, durability and domination.

Leichhardt’s Crossing is an improved rural property that is gently undulating and comprises rich sandy loams that produce the ideal environment for planting of cultivated crops and improved pastural grasses. The farm has extensive water provisions with natural lagoons and surrounding waterways. The property has a weir that enables the banking of water supplies for kilometres surrounding the property and extensive water licences held by the owners add immeasurable value to the farm.

The environment that our cattle inhabit is very important to us. When conducting demanding artificial insemination programs or challenging embryo transfer programs, the cattle are at the foremost occupation of every step of the procedures. To be able to provide an environment that is picturesque and calming by nature is an added benefit to the cattle and to the professional team that undertakes such programs.
